As Managing Director, Matt Burt has developed the MIT-Korea Program from its founding in 2012 by building partnerships with Korean corporations, research institutes, and foundations, connecting MIT students with research in Korea, and launching a Global Teaching Labs Korea initiative. Matt also serves as a coordinator for MIT-Singapore. Prior to joining MIT, Matt was with the Korean Council for University Education--the largest university association in South Korea--where he spearheaded international initiatives and worked to promote internationalization in higher education. Matt earned his B.A. in international relations from Brigham Young University, Utah, speaks fluent Korean, and has lived and worked in East Asia for over six years.
